“Twenty years of frames that pinched. These are the first pair I forget I'm wearing.”
Silver Clear is for the person who needs a 158 mm frame but does not want a 158 mm frame to be the first thing anyone notices. Transparent acetate lets your skin through, so the front reads as an outline rather than a mass — the same width, half the visual weight.
It also does something the solid colours cannot: you can see the thickness of the acetate and the pins in the hinge. The construction becomes the detail.
Woolet 007 Round / Panto is 158 mm across the front. Most brands build to 138–145 mm and call it one size fits most. It fits most. It never fit you.
Drawn wide from the start — not stretched
An XL version of a standard frame is scaled up from a narrow base, so the bridge and lens spacing still fight a wide face. Woolet 007 was drawn at 158 mm from scratch. The temples sit past your face instead of into it, and the 26 mm keyhole bridge rests on the sides of your nose rather than the top — which is what actually stops the slide.
Dimensions
- Shape: Round / Panto

Not sure of your number? Hold two credit cards end to end across your face, temple to temple. A card is 85.6 mm. If two cards barely span it — or don't span it at all — you are 153 mm or wider, and this is your size.
Hand-cut Italian Mazzucchelli acetate
Cut by hand from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate milled in Milan, not injection-moulded. Clear acetate is the least forgiving block to cut — every tool mark shows — which is why so few brands offer it at this width. Cut acetate is also the only way to build a 158 mm front that does not flex, and a flexing front is why wide frames snap. Hand made in EU.
How the 007 Round / Panto sits on a wide face
A round front does the opposite of what a wide jaw does: it adds curves where the face has corners. On a 155 mm+ face that matters, because a narrow round frame looks like two coins pressed into the cheeks. At 158 mm the 53 × 47.6 mm lenses sit centred on your pupils, not pulled inward toward the nose. The panto brow keeps a flat top line, so the frame lines up with your eyebrows instead of floating under them. Pick the 007 when you want the glasses to soften a wide face rather than frame it.
Silver Clear in daily wear
Silver Clear is for the man who wants the fit without the frame taking over. Transparent acetate lets skin tone through, so a 158 mm front looks lighter than it is. It pairs with any wardrobe and flatters grey or light hair. With a prescription lens the clear rim also shows how thin the lens edge sits in the frame.
30 days to be sure
If the fit is not right, send them back within 30 days of delivery — unworn, in their case — for a full refund. Return shipping is on you; nothing else is. If they arrive faulty, we cover everything.
Frequently asked
Will these fit a 160 mm face? Yes. The 158 mm front is comfortable across 153–163 mm. Narrower than that, Woolet Bespoke covers 145–160 mm made to measure, hand made in Greece.
What temple length are they? 150 mm — long enough to clear a wide head before the bend, which is where most frames fail even when the front is right.
Can my optician fit prescription lenses? Yes. Ships with demo lenses, ready for your prescription.
