Woolet 009 Soft Square — Readers — Black

Reading glasses stop working the moment the frame stops fitting. A standard 140 mm reader pinches a wide face at the temples, slides down the nose and ends up pushed onto your forehead. Woolet 009 Soft Square Readers are 158 mm across the front - drawn at that width from scratch, not stretched from a narrow base.

Black is the pair you reach for when you want readers to be readers, not a statement. On a wide face it draws one clean line across the front. The softened square front echoes a strong jaw instead of arguing with it.

Pick your strength and they ship ready to read - no optician visit, no prescription upload. Single-vision reading lenses, same strength in both eyes. When your eyes need two different strengths or a full prescription, order the same frame with demo lenses and let your optician fit it.

Hand-cut Italian Mazzucchelli acetate

Cut by hand from Italian Mazzucchelli acetate milled in Milan, not injection-moulded. The black runs through the material, so a scratch never turns white. Cut acetate is also the only way to build a 158 mm front that does not flex - and a flexing front is why wide frames snap. Hand made in EU.

Which strength do I need? Start from the strength printed on the readers you use today. New to readers: +1.00 covers small print at arm's length, +1.50 and +2.00 are the most common picks, +2.50 and +3.00 bring the page closer. Between two strengths, take the lower one.

Will these fit a 160 mm face? Yes. The 158 mm front is comfortable across 155–161 mm. Wider than that, Woolet Bespoke covers 145–172 mm made to measure with reading lenses included, hand made in Greece.

What temple length are they? 150 mm - long enough to clear a wide head before the bend, which is where most readers fail even when the front is right.
